FIONA HOOPER
My subject matter tends to focus on landscapes, contemporary still life, animals and people. I paint mainly in oils, as I love the flexibility that they offer and the sensual nature of the paint, and I also sometimes work in acrylic, mixed media, fine art coloured pencil, and graphite pencil.
I have completed many commissioned portraits, of both animals and of people, for clients in the UK and in various countries around the world, and also several landscape painting commissions. My most unusual portrait commission so far has been a cherub angelfish!
Every other Saturday throughout the year I exhibit my work with the Kingston Artists group in Kingston-upon-Thames (open air), I normally have a stand at the Landmark Art Fair in Teddington each year, and I am the Artist in Residence at the Musical Museum, Kew Bridge, London, where I have had two solo exhibitions.
I run a local art group and welcome the opportunity to contribute and help other artists as I have been helped in the past.
